ARCHITECTURE

This award-winning vacation home rental in Asheville (Most Beautiful Rental, Architectural Digest) is a picture-perfect example of modern architecture and nature coexisting in harmony. Asheville Meadows is a contemporary bungalow beautifully set in the peaceful pasturelands of North Carolina with panoramic windows framing the Blue Ridge Mountains. You won’t find a more beautiful vacation home rental in western North Carolina.

The cladding of the property is corteen steel, the same material used to make shipping containers, it was chosen as it will age gracefully, rusting to a color that matches the soil. The entryway, covered in Barnardsville bark, brings nature into the modern aesthetic and frames the jaw-dropping view of the peaks in the distance.

The dog trot floor plan, with the two main elements of the house divided by a breezeway keeps the property cool. In this way, the master suite is separated from the foyer with it’s out-of-doors feel.

The living area: kitchen, living room and dining area is designed as a harmonious and airy open plan space opening onto room-width windows.

Glass accordion doors lead to A 900-square-foot porch overlooking the valley and surrounding mountains, while the pebbled garden area is ideal for entertaining.

Form and Function Architecture has left their design aesthetic on the interiors, including the colorful accents on the kitchen island and paintings adorning the living area. Natural light floods the entire property thanks to the enormous windows and an industrial-sized skylight ensures that the guest bathroom is flooded with natural light.

PEOPLE

The property allows guests to unwind in the embrace of nature. However, you don’t have to unplug entirely despite its picturesque location. With luxury amenities including superfast Wi-Fi and modern workstations, you can keep up with pressing deadlines. Complete with smart home technology and a hot tub, you can also relax and decompress at your own pace.

The two-bedroom home, that sleeps four is ideal for families, two couples, and small groups of friends.

It’s a pet-friendly space and not only ideally situated for outdoors adventures, but suited for them thanks to the house’s dryer and washer which come to the fore when pets and excitable kids enjoy nature a little too much.

Enjoy gatherings on the patio for barbeques and drinks with a view to write home about.

PLACE

The Blue Ridge Mountains set the spectacular backdrop for this well-thought-through architectural triumph. As a bungalow, the property allows the rocky peaks of the mountains to dominate the landscape. The natural earth tones of the exteriorwill gradually develop as nature runs its coursemeaning this beautiful property will blend further into its surroundings letting the natural scenic beauty shine through.
