Having won design awards, including an AIA Design award as well as a TSRA Design award, this 1 bedroom house features vertical-grain Douglas fir natural and whitewashed interiors and pitched ceilings. In the living room picture windows look out to the woods and a Morso wood-burning stove sits on an elevated section, with its tubular black chimney rising to the roof. Also, included is a large pull-out queen mattress with guests seeking to enjoy the striking morning views.

“Named 'The Ranch House' by its architect Don Jacobs, this updated 70s cabin is a forest getaway with modern sensibility. The house is surrounded by redwoods & has 2 large decks, 1 with propane firepit with ample seating, the other with a hot tub. The living room has picture windows w/ forest views & Morso wood-burning stove. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the hiking trails, pools, and outdoor amenities. The house comfortably sleeps 4 and includes fast fiber-optic internet.
PLACE
Despite its small footprint, The Ranch House has the feel of a much larger home. The kitchen features a U-shaped counter, hand-cut Heath Ceramic tiles, and wood cabinets. Guests are free to cook their own meals and take advantage of the craft coffee and tea provided. Hiking trails take you in minutes to the Gualala River and a sunny picnic area known as the Hot Spot.
